Finished in ‘Rally Red’ Exterior paint over a ‘Black’ Leather Interior, this example also boasts a New Black Soft Top to complete the color combo, and shows 45k miles on the odometer. Powered by a Period-correct 327/300hp V8, this C2 is equipped with the 2-Speed Powerglide Automatic Transmission, driving the rear wheels. Power Steering and Power Brakes are also present, along with Bolt-on Knock-off Wheels. An Aftermarket A/C (blows cold!) is added, and all chrome work, paintwork, and interior surfaces present in overall great condition.

The 1965 model year saw the addition of hydraulic Sport-Master disc brakes at all four corners, complementing the high-performance drivetrains available for the '65 C2 Corvette. This is the primary driving performance improvement for 1965, along with the presence of the optional 365hp and 375hp-output 327 engines. The 327/300hp output V8--as present in this example--produces 360 lb-ft of torque at 3200 RPM, with peak horsepower being reached at 5000 RPM. This engine uses hydraulic valve lifters, and features thin-wall casting techniques that enable weight to be minimized. For a proper fuel-air ratio, a Carter Aluminum Type AFB Four-Barrel Carburetor is mounted. Suspension is independent at all four corners, featuring direct double-acting hydraulic shock absorbers. Cosmetically, the 1965 model year features a smoother hood without depressions or distractions, yet adds louvers behind the front wheels to aid with air flow and cooling for the engine compartment. A new grille is also present, along with bright aluminum body sill moldings. Despite these slight changes, the C2 design remains largely unchanged from previous years, maintaining its iconic state as the Sting Ray.
